Nuance has announced Dragon Drive!, a new product for car owners that combines Nuance's foundation technologies, embedded speech solutions and network-based speech applications to deliver a connected car experience that allows you to keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.

Regarded as Siri for vehicles, Dragon Drive will be able to take commands in pretty much the same manner as Apple’s digital assistant on the iPhone 4S. Yes, “will” be able. It’s not out yet.

Users will access in-car dictation and other services that enrich their driving experience; they’ll connect with dynamic content from Nuance's wide range of content providers; and they’ll be able to request music, directions, sports scores, restaurant reviews and much more, all from the comfort of their seat, without ever lifting their hands off the steering wheel.
