Apple is looking for third-party Mac application reviewers in anticipation of its Mac App Store’s debut. Candidates are obviously required to have experience with the company’s desktop operating system, while proficiency in written French, German, or Japanese will increase their chances of getting the position at Apple’s Santa Clara Valley offices.

Over at the Mac maker’s ‘Jobs at Apple’ web site, an opening for “Mac Application Reviewer” has recently been posted.

“Apple Worldwide Developer Relations is seeking a software application specialist; someone who is meticulous, analytical, able to exercise objective analysis, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and has strong customer service skills,” the company states.

Apple needs a person who is able to “organize and prioritize a heavy workload.” The candidate must also be a “hardworking, detail-oriented” person who is “able to work quickly & efficiently.”

“We're looking for a self-starter, a quick learner with excellent communication skills, who is able to work independently and as part of a team,” the Cupertino, California-based electronics and software vendor concludes.

Notably, the list of requirements posted by Apple is rather short.

Although getting a job inside Apple usually requires experience in numerous fields, and with many different technologies, Mac App Store reviewers only need “experience with Mac OS X” , while “proficiency in written French, German or Japanese [is considered] a plus.”

Also note that Apple doesn’t even mention how much experience candidates are required to have with Mac OS X, meaning the company is looking to rapidly build a large team of reviewers for fast processing of the multitude of apps likely to be submitted via iTunes Connect.

Apple has good reason to expect the Mac App Store to be a huge hit, as it will build on the reputation of the company’s already well-established iOS App Store.
