Are you feeling a bit disappointed with the size of your display, and for various reasons, you'd like to go for something a little bigger? Well, a plasma panel would be an interesting choice, but we all know just how expensive those things can be, so you might want to check out the following monster-setup. A company called Cinemassive has launched an "uber-display"-like contraption dubbed CineMassive MasterPlex 21T and described as a "21.3" Premium Digital Samsung LCD Center with Four 17" Digital Wings in Portrait Mode". And if you thought that the description's too long, check out the total display size you get out of it. Absolutely huge.

However, the initial description is a very accurate one, offering a vivid portrait of this very original setup. Thus, we have a central Samsung LCD display with a diagonal of 21.3 inches, surrounded on each side by 5 other 17-inch Samsung LCD displays, out of which 2 are in portrait mode and the others in landscape mode.

And when they say "premium LCD center", the people from Cinemassive are not kidding around, since the central panel offers a 1600 x1200 SXGA screen resolution, 7,993,600 total active pixels, and 16.7 million colors, with a contrast ratio of 900:1 and a response time of 8ms. Moreover, the array of inputs is pretty impressive as well, including digital DVI-D, analog RGB (VGA-type D-sub HD15), S-Video and CVBS per panel, so you can output just about any type of video feed you might desire.

The "wings" are pretty cool themselves, being capable to reach resolutions up to 1024x1280 SXGA, while sporting a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a response time of just 5 ms, and the good stuff keeps on coming. Thus, Cinemassive has also designed a special software to work with this monster display setup, dubbed CineMastery, that allows a much faster repositioning and tracking of the various windows across the monitors.

Nevertheless, the one thing that really draws the attention to this thing is its price tag. The "21.3" Premium Digital Samsung LCD Center with Four 17" Digital Wings in Portrait Mode" costs around 3800 US dollars, which is less than a comparable plasma panel, while the device itself provides the professional users with a much higher level of functionality compared to the alternative.
