I am finally happy to be able to write about a true lady who definitely puts the sexiness back in celebrity pregnancy, after the likes of Britney Spears and (more recently) Christina Aguillera have taken the whole "pregnant and sexy" trend to an extreme which I must admit I didn't particularly enjoy - or at least, I didn't enjoy it as much as I was expected to, being an entertainment columnist and all (in case you want to refresh your memory, here is a gentle reminder).

The undeniable fact remains that a truly classy lady - whether she's a singer, an actress or a model, whether she's in her early twenties or glamorous at forty - doesn't have to strip while pregnant to get the media's attention. And the beautiful Cate Blanchett proved it yet again, with a lesson worth being learned by the younger generation of pregnant hotties.

Cate attended the premiere of "I'm Not There", the much-hyped surrealistic Bob Dylan biopic, together with her husband Andrew Upton - and revealed her growing baby bump by wearing a tight-fitting black dress and a pair of super-high, ultra-fashionable heels, which caused her fellow guests to stare in awe. Some may have even seen her decision as risque - but in my opinion, all Cate did was to show the world what a true "working mother" means, as well as prove that a successful pregnant actress does not have to give up her glamor and don loose outfits simply because she's having a baby.

Cate, who already has two sons, Dashiell, five, and Roman, three, is also an exception to the Hollywood world of glitz and glam by the fact the she willingly revealed she was pregnant at the Sydney premiere of her new film, "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" (which took place last month) rather than go down the Aguillera or Jennifer Lopez route and deny her pregnancy in order to keep herself in the news. She does that through her acting anyway - so there's obviously no reason for unnecessary drama. She did, however, refuse to confirm rumors she is having another boy. "You know more than me. It's early days yet. It's due in April" she said.
