Yesterday, we were showing you a couple of photos from the latest issue of 'FHM' and, at the same time, we were asking ourselves how come re-touching has become such a common practice with celebrities and magazines.

Because the spread with Brooke Hogan was more than surprising: it was outrageous as it showed a model-like, sexy kitten who had almost nothing in common with the real life reality star and aspiring singer. Only a few hours after the 'FHM' photos got out, so did the real Brooke.

She is, just as always, unchanged. Tanned, with a solid bodily frame, a rather square physiognomy and very poor fashion taste, Brooke is not by far the woman the said magazine is trying to sell. Just look at her: she is seen here in Miami, where her entire family has relocated, wearing an outfit that seems to be taken or at least inspired from a cheesy '80s movie.

Again, we have to be thankful that, for once, she is trying to keep it simple: there's almost no make-up, no hanging midriff showing, no awkward cleavages. All in all, Brooke looks here just like she is: an eighteen year old on a night out of fun.

And maybe that's how she should be known. After all, we understand that there's a music career to promote but some things are way off line. We're referring, of course, to the Photoshopped version of Brooke we already spoke of. Please, humor me and compare for yourselves.
