14 DAY TRIAL // After exactly 9 months of hard work, the Ark Linux development team is proud to announce the immediate availability of Ark Linux 2008.1 and Ark Linux Live 2008.1, a version that brings KDE 3.5.9, the latest 2.6.25.3 Linux kernel, Wine 1.0 RC1, lots of bug fixes and improvements.
The Ark Linux team decided to drop yet another stable system build with GCC 4.3 and powered by the latest stable version of KDE, 3.5.9. Not only that but, because it is now entirely build with GCC 4.3, it is more effective than previous versions build with GCC 4.2.1. Moreover, this release comes with better hardware detection and the following updated/new software:
