One of the most popular home screen replacements for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich devices, Nova Launcher has just been updated with new features and improvements.

Although the application was initially launched with scrollable dock for both Android tablets and phones, the latest update comes with “hide scroll indicator” feature.

Those who decided to go for the third-party launcher for their ICS-based devices will be able to keep their favorite apps on the dock with up to seven icons per page and up to three pages.

Transparency can be set for the app drawer, along with the scrolling style. The latter allows users to choose between scroll horizontal paginated or vertical continuous.

The latest update also brings a new feature and new gestures to those who use Nova Launcher Prime: unread counts via TeslaUnread, Rotate Clockwise, Rotate CCW, and Double-tap.

With the latest version of Nova Launcher, users can be sure they will be provided with support for CyanogenMod nightlies “Launcher” setting.

Nova Launcher allows users to replace Android 4.0’s scroll effect with new ones, such as Cube and Cardstack. More are provided to those who use Prime version.

In this regard, it is also worth mentioning Nova Launcher Prime unlocks lots of features, including gestures, drawer groups, dock swipes and unread counts.

Version 1.1.3 of Nova Launcher also brings the following changes to those who use the standard iteration of the application:

- Support for selecting icon from Go Launcher icon packs; - Set default screen by dragging checkmark on preview screen; - “Reverse” wallpaper scrolling mode; - Animation/Scroll speed preferences; - Show Recent Apps Nova Action; - Misc fixes.

Nova Launcher 1.1.3 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and up.
