After Notre Dame beat Temple 28 to 6, photos of the misspelling on the cups have gone viral on social media. According to Fox Sports, the team have been known by their fans as the “Fighting Irish.”
The misspelling made them to be labeled the “Fig Thing Irish.” This could actually be lucky for the recipients of the unusual souvenir cups. Perhaps one day they will be worth something, since this is probably the last time this happens.
I don't know who has inspected marketing materials for the college team, but I bet that they fear for their jobs right now.
