Notion Ink is among the companies which decided to bring to shelves tablet PCs running under Google's Android operating system, and the company has just unveiled some more info on their first such product, the Notion Ink Adam tablet.

Based on Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, the upcoming slate should bring forth a nice range of capabilities, while packing a re-worked Android browser, UI tweaks, and more.

Packing a 1GHz dual-core Arm Cortex-A9 processor on an Nvidia Tegra 2 chip, the tablet PC should prove a very appealing device when launched on the market in late November 2010.

One of the most impressive capabilities of the new slate would be its ability to playback 1080P videos with great performance levels and in full volume.

And there is also the said re-worked Android browser, which look as one can see in the second photo attached to this article.

“We wanted speed. Speed of switching, closing, opening the closed tab, and closing all in multiple and that through our thick fingers,” the company notes when describing the browser in a recent post.

The company continues: “These images will first be previewed by those who get the EAP and the SDK access. To make the UI development seamless and easy, we have converted our ideation into guidelines.” (Images available below).

The Adam tablet is expected to arrive on shelves in two different flavors, an LCD model and a Pixel Qi trans-reflective LCD variant (via BGR).

Moreover, the slate should arrive with 2 USB ports and a micro USB port, as well as with an HDMI-out port, to which we can add a SIM card slot, and, of course, a microSD card slot so that users can add more storage space into the equation.

As stated above, the upcoming device will run under Google's Android 2.2 operating system, which means that it should also feature a series of other specific capabilities, as well as support for services and the like.

The Notion Ink Adam tablet is expected to become available for purchase in late November, so keep an eye on this space for additional info on it.
