Indian customers hoping to see Notion Ink roll out the next generation Adam tablet, might be disappointed to see that the company has released something else instead. It's called the MB-OX 10.1 and it comes at a super affordable price, which might attract a lot of customers.

However, don't expect it to come with super godly features. The MB-OX 10.1 is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor with 1GB of RAM. The slate runs Android 4.1.1. Jelly Bean and storage capacity is set to 8GB.

The 10-inch IPS display has a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. Other features include the two 2MP rear and front cameras, the microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI port, 3G support.

The Digital Reader claims that MB-OX 10.1's specs are quite similar to the upcoming Adam II, which was announced back in May.

The exception is, of course, Adam's aesthetic qualities and the secondary display. Nevertheless, the publication goes on to speculate that The MB-OX 10.1 might be a variant licensed by Notion Ink with the purpose of turning it into Adam II later.

Even so, Notion Ink's Facebook claims that the Adam II is still coming, so until we see that happen, customers can grab the MB-OX 10.1 for Rs 10,999 / $176 / €130 from webshops like Infibeam.com.
