Alpha version at this point, but progress is being made quickly

Notion Ink’s Android 4.0 port for the Adam tablet has made a lot of progress since we first reported about it in December of last year, so the outfit has now decided to make an Alpha version of this ROM available for download.

Bluetooth, GPS and the all-important audio are now working according to its developers, but no camera support is present at this time.

USB mass storage support is also lacking, while even though HDMI video playback is supported, there’s no sound yet.

A full list of the issues present in this port is available on Notion Ink’s developer blog, together with a download link for the Android 4.0.3 Alpha ROM and detailed install instructions.

The Indian company, which was the first to market a tablet using a sunlight viewable Pixel Qi display, still hasn’t said when they expect the Ice Cream Sandwich port to be finalized.
