In addition to getting a new website, where enthusiasts can find a wide range of details on its specs and features, Notion Ink Adam has also got some more improvements, as the development process is nearing completion.

Previously, Notion Ink promised that the Android-based tablet PC would be put on pre-order sometime in December, and it seems that the company is nearing fast the day when it would make the slate available.

Here are some of the main enhancements that Adam received recently:

- Calendar has Entered Beta phase, now it supports contacts management, quick “add-event” (only 6 taps for extremely detailed entries) - Fonts have improved, and there is no color banding (we solved this issue some 4 weeks ago, but were waiting for some time to give an update on this) - Panel Engine is in beta since long, multiple instances of application was the last we were testing - LiveShare by cooliris on Adam - More Document Format Supports

We should also note that the slate reportedly passed all the tests at FCC, and that certification should be granted without issues, at least this is what the company notes on its blog.

When it comes to the new changes with the tablet PC, the company announced that the contact list was integrated with the Calendar, and that a list of all possible events has been added into the mix as well.

Some changes were operated to the fonts available on the device, which should look much better on its large screen, but which are not yet complete, and still require some work.

The Panel Engine on Notion Ink Adam will come with support for multiple instances, as there are applications that need multiple instances for expanded functionality (File Browser, web browser, etc.).

The tablet PC also comes with CPU Hot Plug, offering support for a range of power optimizations, which should prove quite appealing for those who are interested in this kind of functionality.

While real-time collaboration was not included in events, Liveshare should replace that, the company notes. Also in the productivity side of things, we should note that the Office suite would offer support for 35 Languages, as well as for major formats like docx, pptx, pdf.

More info on the novelties included with Notion Ink Adam can be found on the company's blog.
