Notion Ink Adam, the Android-based tablet PC that Indian maker Notion Ink made available in late 2010, is set to become even more appealing that before through an upgrade to the new Android 3.0 Hineycomb operating system.

The tablet PC was put on shelves with Android 2.2 on board, and the company is readying the upgrade to the Android 3.0 OS flavor, specifically designed for tablet PCs.

However, this is not all. The Adam tablet landed with a specific UI on board, called Eden, and it seems that the company is done with bringing it to the new OS version.

The company managed to expand the team of developers behind the tablet's user interface, which would mean only good news for end users.

Notion Ink's Rohan Shravan notes in a recent post on the company's blog that they successfully strengthened the support team, which is at the moment larger than the development team is.

“As discussed earlier we have expanded our support team and now in fact it is bigger than the developer team. There was a training need before their proper inception, and now that is also done. So expect better services,” he notes.

In addition to merging 2 support systems (Notion Ink's and shipment partners), the company is also working on setting up local Sales and Services Centers in US, Germany and India, which should add more value to the services it offers.

Notion Ink has expanded in one more area: Games,” Rohan Shravan also notes, while adding that books are coming to the tablet PC in the form of store and app.

“Their content is good, and app ready for 2.2 and 2.3 OS. But then we are soon moving to Honeycomb, and these apps need some face-lifts,” he continues.

All in all, it seems that the company is expanding nicely, which means that it might not be too long before they announce the availability of a new device.
