The latest revision for Notepad++ is a release candidate for version 6.5. Among the highlights is support for Coffee script and a new feature that is designed to automatically close parenthesis, quotes, bracket and matched XML/HTML tag.
Also new is multi-paste support for multi-selection/column mode and the inclusion of PHP, Perl, XML, batch, INI and NSIS in the built-in function list. Starting this revision, if Notepad++ runs as administrator, this detail is displayed in the title bar.
Repairs are on the list of modifications for this build as well. The developer did away with a bug that caused the application to quit without saving the files.
A stable build is expected to emerge in roughly a couple of days, if no problems are reported for the current release candidate.
