The latest revision for Notepad++ is 6.5.1 and it is a minor one. However, despite this, the developer managed to integrate not just repairs and improvements, but also increased functionality and usability through new features.

Starting this build, Notepad++ can complete automatically the strings for absolute paths. Also new in this revision are search and sort functions available for the built-in function list.

Apart from these two new features, the developer addressed a few glitches. Among them is the one with scrolling the text on a portable device using the Synaptics touchpad.

Furthermore, EOL type should now be determined correctly for UTF-16 files, and the bug affecting tab settings in normal text mode should no longer create trouble.

Notepad++ is available in portable form, but you can also test it online at this address; JavaScript is required for the demo to work.
