Notepad ++ has been updated to a new build. It is a minor update that does not include any new, significant features and focuses mostly on a few modifications designed to improve overall functionality of the application.

There is also a fix available, which refers to the problem with the "\r\n" bug that occurred in the regular expression mode.

As part of the improvements present in this release, the “Delete File” command has been turned into “Move to Recycle Bin.” On the same note, the document default value has been changed from ANSI to UTF8 w/o BOM.

Furthermore, Word-completion under CJK environment for unicode documents is now enabled.

The new feature present in this build is the ability to remove empty lines.

A portable version of Notepad++ is also available. It can be downloaded from this page. The regular, desktop download is available here.
