Eliminates crash bug, fixes buffer overflow problem Enlarge picture - Eliminates crash bug, fixes buffer overflow problem
A new version of Notepad++ has been launched earlier today, sporting both new features as well as bug fixes. The new build is 6.1.7 and it solves issues relating to both functionality and stability.

The developer eliminated a crash problem that occurred on save as command. Also, the “config.xml” zero length bug after Windows' update that forced Notepad++ to quit should no longer create trouble.

Other fixes address a bug that prevented “save” action to be executed without any warning or alert and a buffer overflow problem.

New in this revision is adding case sensitive option for smart highlighting feature.

Improvements touch on the localization system, comment operations (add stream Uncomment command and cross-calling of block feature) and TAB to space and reverse commands.

Get Notepad++ from here; also available as a portable download.
