The versatile source code editor Notepad++ has just been updated to version 5.9.8. The new build comes with new stuff as well as fixes.

Among the new things introduced in this build is support for drag and drop inside Project Manager. Also, the developer added “Move Up” and “Move Down” commands in the Project Panel. These can be executed through the arrow keys, holding Ctrl as modifier.

Customization of the Edit Zone border is now possible via "Editing" tab of Preferences dialog.

As far as bug fixing goes, Notepad++ repairs issues such as an aesthetic problem in incremental search bar; moreover, the "Save all" GUI bug has been squashed.

A portable version of Notepad++ is also available. It can be downloaded from this page. The regular, desktop download is available here.
