Notebook sales are on the rise, even now when that price cut hasn't happened yet, and while the sales aren't at the same level as a year ago, that is just a minor problem at this point.

When we say that sales aren't at the same level as a year ago, we mean that notebook shipments, in March, were about 15% lower than in March 2012.

A completely different comparison can be drawn between March and February though, and because of more than the larger number of days in the month.

Long story short, notebook shipments increased by 20% for the top-five notebook vendors (especially HP and Lenovo) and 21% for the first three ODMs.

From what we can gather, HP and Lenovo have the first spots, followed by Dell, ASUS and Toshiba.
