Markus Persson, aka Notch, says that he is no longer working on 0x10c, his space simulation title, because the project took up too much of his time and failed to make significant progress.

The developer says in a Twitch-based stream focused on Team Fortress 2 that he is interested in working on a number of smaller games, although he has not offered actual names for them yet.

0x10c was supposed to feature a fully programmable computer on a spaceship, complete with a language that players could learn in order to make their own complex routines.

A group of fans have apparently taken up the burden of continuing development on 0x10c, although it is not clear whether they will have access to the code that Notch has already created for it.

The team at Mojang continues to deliver updates for Minecraft and it is also working on Scrolls, a combination of card and tactics.
