Oh, Kim Kardashian, you vixen! In her most recent interview with British GQ, the same magazine that honored her with the title of Woman of the Year in its latest edition, the reality star tried to make some drama happening by hinting that she and husband Kanye West may or may not have taped a raunchy tape in the privacy of their own home.

Her exact quote sounded a lot like this: “My husband Kanye and I have an amazing [love] life. So far as the […] tape is concerned, whether or not we’ve made another… If we have, it’s never something I want to go public. I never want to make the same mistake twice.”

That “if we have” is meant to make you believe that what she’s really saying is “we have, but we’re careful so that it doesn’t get out.”

The interview came out only a few hours after the biggest celebrity photo hacking scandal of our times, which saw over 100 women exposed online after private and very revealing photos were lifted off their iCloud accounts. Voices online concluded that Kim was just crying for attention because she was “jealous” that people weren’t talking about her anymore.

Kim Kardashian lied so, yes, she probably wanted attention

TMZ notes that Kim was deliberately looking to plant a rumor because there is no such tape. However, the celebrity e-zine claims that she didn’t do it because she was hungry for attention but rather because – get this! – “she is super private” about her love life with Kanye.

Let’s not forget that we’re talking about a woman who gets bikini waxes on camera and who will talk about anything, even the most intimate detail on her life (like the shape of her nether parts after birth, which she did on a recent episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians) if there’s a camera around.

“Super private” is the last thing Kim Kardashian is.

Nonetheless, the report claims that she was in too good a mood to just shut the interviewer down when he quizzed her about her love life, so “she decided to playfully tease.” If that was the case, her teasing got lost in translation, because everyone thought she was dead-serious about it.

After all, we all know how she got started in the industry

You can’t blame those who believed she was in earnest with her hint, because we’ve not forgotten how Kim got her start in the industry. At a time when she was still Paris Hilton’s best friend, personal assistant and around the clock closet organizer, she took a page from her book on how to become famous and released her own homemade tape, with then-boyfriend Ray J.

She claimed the tape leaked without her consent and even feigned a lawsuit, but she eventually settled for a multi-million dollar amount and sat back and enjoyed the ride. Kim’s star has been shining brighter and brighter ever since.

Without exaggeration, if she were to ever release a similar tape with Kanye West, her exposure and popularity will probably reach stratosphere.
