Point Blank is a UK-based award winning music college, well known for the thorough training it offers for its students. As a matter of fact, Point Blank has been voted by the DJ Mag readers as the best Music Production/DJ college between 2001 and 2006.

Now it's high time for Point Blank to breakthrough one more time, coming out with a totally future-oriented and future-connected Online Courses program.

This cutting-edge new teaching method benefits from small-group targeting and has skilled audio producers as teachers, people who have already worked with Bjork or Portished. Aimed at the Cubase newbies, this course is entitled „Basic MIDI Sequencing" and its purpose is more than clear right from the title.

Cubase 4 is the main DAW used for training but earlier versions will do as well, except for Cubase SX, SL and SE 3; the LE is now accepted!

Starting
on April 16th, this Point Blank tuition programme costs 595GBP and reserving a place in the courses means a 100GBP fee. Once enrolled in the online training program, students receive a unique ID, which will grant them access to a very extensive amount of drum loops, samples, song templates and written notes.

The weekly sessions provide students with interaction with eachother as well as with the tutors and will be, in further parts of this course, encouraged to post their ideas and music-related suggestions on the mesageboard especially created for such purpose.

Point Blank and its course are approved by the Training center for Steinberg, Apple and Native Instruments and the MD Jules Brookes says that attending such a course is pretty much similar with attending a class at the Point Blank studios in London.

Future will also bring new courses in Logic and Reason and it is most likely that other major applications will be included in Point Blank's oncoming programs.

Harmony Central has been so kind as to select and post publicly the tech specs and requirements for the Point Blank application so here they are:
