Not Able to See Yahoo Messenger Messages? Try This!

Good tip but what to do to enable Yazak and Yahelite which have same problem?

iM STILL NOT ABLE TO VIEW ANY MESSAGES EITHER IN OR OUT EVEN AFTER ENABLING THE SCRIPT IN INTERNET OPTIONS

I've done this countless times. I've tried reinstalling the messenger, enabling and disabling scripting, restarting the computer too many times! This is still not working! What else could be the problem? This didn't work. I even recieved a message from Yahoo and everything they recommended didn't work! Please help!

hiii same problm occured wid me..already all this solution n aftr yahoo help team solution nothing happened.. i knw why this has happened.. this has happened b'coz of virus which is there and antivirus has deleted the virus and also some files..
ultimately i had to FORMAT my laptop.. now this has occured 2nd time..i m trying all these things again bt i knw i hv to FORMAT it once again...
i m telling this as i hv experienced it...

I too tried everything and it still did not work. It makes me feel very bad and handicap. I need a solution as fast as possible. My friend too reported same problem with no solution. Can any one there help?

It seem that nobody, even yahoo has the solution to this problem. I can see that someone is sending me a message but it does not get to me on the IM box and vice versa where it does not get to them. Come on yahoo what are you doing to solve this problem. I see patches after patches but all useless.

The only solution I found was to run this little command in the command prompt (it fixed the problem in Windowx XP) "regsvr32 jscript.dll" without the quotes. The problem does not lie with Yahoo, but with Windows, not even with Windows, to be fair, but with a certain dll not being registered properly. Cheers.

you should run the command prompt in administrator mode :


go to start - programs - accessories - right click on command prompt option -

run as administrator option - then type regsvr32 jscript.all

then login IM

Here’s a solution which will almost certainly solve your problem.

Click: START
Click: RUN
Type: REGEDIT
PRESS ENTER

Locate: HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Internet Settings > Zones >

Youll see a number of folders numbered: 0 1 2 3 etc
Above these you might see another folder there, before that zero folder, with a box type character - delete that .

Now close and Restart Your Pc everything should be fine.

If not, try uninstalling Messenger and then doing the above then reinstalling

Clearing the registry key found at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\ as per the site above worked like a charm

I am using windows 7 and I did what you said but all the script setting were already enabled. I still can not see my messages in yahoo messenger.

i have to leave yahoo bcos i find difficult to read my mails

If all this not working means follow this :
go to start - programs - accessorie - right click on " command prompt option "- new window appeared like C:\Windows\system32>

- type this " regsvr32 jscript.dll " - hit the enter key.. now log in messenger.. it should work

I tried Regedit....it did not work, then I down load I.E. update, it works! You 're using a new version of YM! so I think the I.E. should be updated accordingly

I tried all of the suggestions here to no avail. In the end going into "Options" "Messenger Options" "Manage conversation windows" and setting the manager to tabs dropped kicked it back into action. After testing I was able to set it back to small windows successfully.

after looking everywhere for everything .... I updated my yahoo messenger. now, it works :D

I tried all the steps scripts, regedit, reinstalling YM...nothing worked. After 1 hour of troubleshooting i finally downgraded IE9 to IE8 .i.e., in uninstalled IE9. And you know what WOW it worked, so finally i fixed the issue.----Zubaid.
