Norton Satellite for Windows 8 has received a brand new update, so in case you’ve already installed it, you better check out the Store for this new version.

As you know, Norton Satellite was designed to automatically scan Facebook and Twitter feeds for malicious links, as well as files stored in the cloud, such as the ones saved in your Dropbox account.

Version 1.2.0.16 adds support for SkyDrive, as well as some other bug fixes aimed at both Windows 8 and Windows RT devices.

The application automatically scans EXE, DLL, and MSI files and can also identify unsafe files on a PC and external storage drives. Still, this feature doesn’t work on Windows RT, but only on devices running the full version of Windows 8 Pro.
