Symantec's Norton 360 was designed especially to represent the most powerful security solution for Windows Vista, the latest version of the operating system developed by Microsoft. Although Windows Vista is regarded as the most secure edition of the operating system, numerous security companies predicted the necessity of a solution able to increase the protection of a certain Vista equipped computer.

Some time ago, Symantec released a beta version of the Norton 360 security solution, the company recording more than 100.000 beta testers in the entire world.

Today,
the company published a press release to announce the availability of the final version of the product, sustaining the security solution can be purchased from Symantec's online store for $79.99. The price includes one year subscription for an application that can be installed on up to 3 computers.

"People today use their computers for much more than work or storing documents. If you ask most computer users what they rely on their PC for, they'll tell you they use it to surf the web, bank online, shop, keep in touch with friends and family, listen to music and store their favorite photos. Norton 360 was created with these activities in mind. It not only protects against traditional online threats, but it also helps secure users' identity when transacting online and safeguards valuable files like music and photos," said Enrique Salem, group president, Consumer Business Unit, Symantec Corp.

If you didn't know, Norton 360 includes numerous security utilities able to protect a certain computer such as antivirus, antispyware, firewall, intrusion protection, antiphishing, backup and tune-up. One of the most interesting tools is the fraud protection meant to defend users against Internet frauds and other transactions issues. Norton 360 was also tested by Softpedia and it is available as a free download on this link.
