Norton 360 is the latest security solution provided by Symantec that contains all in one security utilities to protect your computer. Recently, Symantec launched a testing program meant to allow users to download beta versions of the application.

Today, the company announced a new Vista-compatible version of Norton 360 is now available for download only for the registered users.

"In today's fast-evolving threat landscape, computer users need smart, manageable security that provides layers of protection beyond the basics. Since the Vista operating system is not a security solution and only includes some of the basics, consumers need a solution like Norton 360 for comprehensive protection," said Enrique Salem, group president, Consumer Business Unit, Symantec Corp.

Symantec said the price for Norton 360 will be approximately $79.99, expecting a final version of the security solution in March 2007. You should know that you have the possibility for receiving a $30 discount if you register for the Norton 360 public beta by January 15, 2007.

"For the suggested retail price of $79.99 (includes one-year service subscription to use the product and receive Symantec protection updates), customers receive Symantec's advanced PC and transaction security technologies in addition to PC tuneup capabilities that can help keep their systems running at peak performance. Norton 360 users also receive backup and restore functionality, including 2 gigabytes of online secure storage space. The product can be installed on up to three PCs per household," Symantec said in a press release.
