2-year-old will continue to be paraded for the paparazzi

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s 2-year-old daughter, North West, is a fixture in the tabloids and in the blogosphere because her mother has no qualms about parading her around town for the paparazzi, or bringing her to high-profile events like fashion shows in Paris and New York.

When North isn’t doing all these things, she makes many appearances on her mother’s social media accounts, to the point where even other celebrities have started calling Kim out for using her as a fashion “accessory.” Which she is obviously not.

So where does Kim draw the line? At her reality show, according to insiders speaking to Radar Online.

North was off-limits for the show from the start

Just recently, the Kardashians signed a new deal with E!, believed to be worth about $100 million (€90.7 million) and to include more seasons for their show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, spinoffs, and other projects that will most likely go digital.

North was never mentioned in the negotiations, the insider says, because Kim and Kanye decided that they didn’t want their daughter in the spotlight. Or at least in that way.

“They want North to have some privacy and be able to be a child away from the cameras,” says the spy. “There will be times when North will be included in a group setting, where it’s impossible to edit her out, but she won’t be on the show on even a semi-regular basis. E! offered big money to have North included, but her parents turned it down.”

The Kardashians aren’t going anywhere, in case you were wondering

Still, even assuming this report is accurate, Kim has already made North part of the brand, in more ways than just being photographed with her around town.

These days, North is only dressed up in dark colors and clothes matching her mother’s, her hair is always styled in a tight bun and she is often out at events of which no toddler could possibly make sense, like the aforementioned late-night fashion shows in Paris or NYC.

North is shilling for the Kardashian brand at an age when she doesn’t even have a proper idea of what’s happening.

The fact that the Kardashians signed this new, highly lucrative deal with E! is whatever confirmation you still needed that they’re not going anywhere, haters be damned.

Much like Justin Bieber, this reality TV family seems to thrive on both positive and negative attention, to turn into gold whatever they touch. This is all the more impressive in the Kardashians’ case, because at least Justin sings, dances and plays the instruments: they do nothing but be themselves when the cameras are around.
