Apple has announced on its web site that the second San Antonio store it is opening this year is located at the North Star Mall, 7400 San Pedro Avenue. The Grand Opening will be this Saturday, June 28 at 10:00 AM.

"Texas, one of Apple's favorites, will now have 14 stores," ifoAppleStore confirms. Although the new store is just 34 feet wide, it is over 118 feet deep, "allowing it to accommodate a back-of-house board room, offices and kitchen," the source handling all news and info about Apple's stores notes. As always, Apple will be awarding free T-shirts to the first 1000 visitors at its North Star store. Other details, such as One To One, Personal Shopping and Work Shops are yet to be disclosed.

"Whether you're a long-time Mac user or just getting started, the Apple Retail Store is the best place to learn about all things Apple. That's because each month, we host free events and workshops that showcase Apple products, demonstrating how they're used for filmmaking, photography, music, productivity, and more," Apple says.

The Cupertino-based Mac maker is also inviting San Antonio residents to visit their local Apple Retail Store for a chance to catch a live performance from a band featured on iTunes. New-product demos are also featured from time to time, while visitors can learn about solutions for their business, by making an appointment at the Genius bar, or attend a family workshop.

The new Apple Store is situated at: 7400 San Pedro Avenue, San Antonio, TX 78216. Store hours are Mon - Sat: 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Sun: 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. For those who live nearby, the store is located next to Ann Taylor and bluemercury, Apple says. The company encourages those who visit the Apple Store to speak to a Concierge (in the bright orange shirt) whenever they need someone to point them in the right direction.
