The Nook GlowLight hasn’t been selling all that well, hence the discount

After releasing an update for its Nook GlowLight, Barnes & Noble is offering the tablet with a discount, in order to tempt customers in adopting the slate.

The GlowLight usually sells for $119 / €87 but, until April 13, those interested can pick up the eReader for just $99 / €72 both online locations and from brick and mortar locations.

The Nook GlowLight has a 6-inch display with 1024 x 758 pixel resolution and utilizes Pearl display technology from E Ink. Therefore, you won’t be treated to the latest Carta screen system that’s implemented only in the Kindle Paperwhite 2 and Tolino Vision.

The GlowLight gets its name from the front light used to illuminate the screen. Other specifications include an infrared touchscreen, 800 MHz processor, Wi-Fi, and 2.5GB of storage. The battery is also said to be capable of lasting up to 8 weeks.

The dedicated Clip Cover for the GlowLight also appears to be on sale, but the reviews of the accessory are negative, so you should probably abstain from purchasing one.

The Nook Glowlight failed to arouse interest in customers ever since it was launched this fall but, considering that the device has just received a soft update that improves on-board shopping experience among other things, maybe it's worth taking into consideration.
