Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has been recently rumored to be the first vendor in the world to launch handsets running under Microsoft’s new Windows Phone 8 platform, and some more info on the matter has just emerged.

Apparently, the company will announce two such devices as soon as September 5th, most probably the day when Microsoft unveils the Windows Phone 8 RTM flavor.

The info comes from WPDang (via WMPoweruser), which cites sources familiar with the matter stating that the previously rumored Lumia 910 and Lumia 920 are the most likely candidates for a formal unwrap on that day.

Nokia’s Windows Phone 8 devices should pack better hardware inside, along with increased performance capabilities, rumor has it. Nothing has been officially unveiled on the matter for the time being, but stay tuned.
