On October 22, Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia will hold a press event in Abu Dhabi, UAE, to announce at least a new smartphone, and it has already announced plans to broadcast it online.

The company did not provide specific info on what will be announced at the event, but rumor has it that it will unveil its Lumia 1520 handset, along with some other devices.

Lumia 1520 is said to be the first smartphone to run under Windows Phone 8 GDR3, and to pack a large 6-inch screen, along with a quad-core processor.

The event will kick off in Abu Dhabi at 11am local time, which is 8am UK time. Following the main announcement, there will be a series of other webcasts as well, it seems.

“And the webcast from the event will be broadcast right here on Conversations, so that you can watch the action on your screen of choice,” a post on Nokia’s official blog reads.

“This time around we also have an extra treat in the form of a second round of webcasts, after the main announcement.”

The company plans on delivering additional info on the device that will be announced on that morning during said interactive sessions, so enthusiasts are invited to tune in.

“These sessions have historically been reserved for the press, bloggers, partners and analysts who attend Nokia World, so we’re extremely pleased and excited to be able to offer them here on Conversations, for the first time,” the aforementioned blog post continues.

Those interested in participating at these webcasts should go to Nokia Conversations on October 22, starting with 11am, UK time. These sessions are set to end at around 1pm.

Hopefully, the recently leaked Nokia Asha 502 and Asha 503 smartphones will also be unveiled at the event, so keep an eye on this space for additional details on the matter.
