Nokia is getting ready for the launch of a special campaign for the owners of Nokia Lumia 1020 devices in India, so as to celebrate the International Mobile Photography Day, which it has proposed to be held on October 10.

As part of the promotion, the company will provide the owners of the device with the possibility to have a limited number of photos shot with their smartphone printed for free and brought to their homes, fonearena explains.

Nokia Lumia 1020, one of the latest Windows Phone 8 devices from Nokia, comes to the market with a large 41-megapixel camera on the back, capable of delivering a great imaging experience to all users.

The handset was made official in India recently, and it has landed on shelves in the country only a few weeks back.

The aforementioned deal addresses to all Lumia 1020 users in the country, and it will kick off on October 20. However, in order to take advantage of it, users will need to have the Photo Prints application installed on their devices.

The Windows Phone application is powered by ZoomIn and provides people with the possibility to print photos with only a few clicks.

As part of the promotion, users will be able to print a number of 6 large photos, two of 12 x 24 inches in size, and four of 10 x 8 inches. At the same time, users can print a super-large 16×20 inch photo and pay only half of its price tag.

The one thing that Nokia has yet to unveil is how long the deal will be in place. Hopefully, it won’t be accessible to users only on October 20.

The company is also working on a mobile photo documentary, for which it is gathering brilliant examples of life’s unexpected moments. Users can contribute to it this Sunday through tweeting their photos with the hashtag #1020MobilePhotoDay attached.

The Photo Prints application can be downloaded from the Windows Phone Store.
