What you see above are alleged screenshots with Nokia’s upcoming Nokia TV application aimed at Windows Phone.

The screenshots that emerged over at WP7forum.ru reportedly show an application meant to enable users to search content from various local networks.

Other features of the app would include streaming of shows over Wi-Fi or broadband connections and downloads for offline viewing, along with possible streaming of live TV.

Nokia TV is expected to debut in Finland in partnership with three local stations, namely YLE, MTV3, and Nelopen. No info on when that might happen has emerged.

The application is not yet confirmed, but it appears to be legit, The Verge notes. The app’s background resembles the abstract design present in other of the company’s software.

Nokia has already promised a variety of applications for its Windows Phone devices, and it would make perfect sense if they decided to release Nokia TV to join apps such as Music, Play, Maps, and Reading.
