Nokia still has a few devices to bring to the market before it moves to Windows Phone, and one of them is expected to be launched as soon as June 21st is here.

The company already sent out invites to a press event set to take place on the said day, during which it would launch its “newest, soon-to-be-named” device, iTWire reports.

Nokia CEO Stephen Elop will keynote, and there will also be live on-site demo of the said product, which should arrive as a “market disrupting device.”

Kurt Bonnici, product and technology marketing manager at Nokia Australia, will be on stage to present the new device and to answer to questions on it.

While the mobile phone maker did not offer specific info on this device, various rumors on what it might be all about did emerge into the wild.

Some suggest that June 21st might mark the unveiling of Nokia's first, and only, MeeGo-based handset.

This device, previously rumored to be launched on shelves as Nokia N9, was said a while ago to have been destined to taste Windows Phone, and not MeeGo.

However, Nokia did promise the launch of a handset that would run under this platform, which emerged from the marrying of Maemo and Moblin, and June 21st might bring it to the spotlight.

Other rumors suggest that there might be a Maemo 6 device set to make an appearance into the wild on that day, a niche device that will be manufactured in less than 100,000 units.

Previously, Nokia was rumored to plan the launch of tablet PCs as well, and the possibility that one such device might be announced on that day should be taken into consideration as well.

However, nothing was confirmed on the matter, and there is also the possibility that the very first Windows Phone handset from Nokia will be unveiled on that day, although this is very unlikely.
