One of the features that Nokia did not include in its Windows Phone 8-based Lumia devices was flip to silence, although the company did have it available for the owners of older Lumia devices.

However, it seems that the company might have revised that decision, and that the functionality might arrive on the company’s Lumia 620, Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 handsets soon.

New firmware that was found on Nokia’s servers indicates that the feature is about to become available for Windows Phone 8 handsets as well, WPCentral notes, though it’s yet uncertain when it might be pushed to phones.

Furthermore, the new firmware is said to bring along improved battery life, as well as enhanced performance of the device.

The new firmware appears to bring only Nokia’s own improvements on devices, as the OS will remain the same, at build 10211.
