The application is replacing the Accessories app in Settings

One of the features that the Lumia Cyan software update was announced with was Device Hub, which was meant to replace Accessories on Windows Phone Nokia devices, and some new info on it has been provided.

The Nokia Device Hub application has been available in a beta testing program for quite some time now, and the guys over at Nokia Beta Labs have announced that the trial has been concluded.

Thus, the application has graduated from the beta status to a commercial release, and all those who will install Lumia Cyan on their smartphones will enjoy it. To take advantage of what the app has to offer, users will simply have to head over to Settings.

Some of you might have already had the chance to take a look at the application, given that Lumia Cyan has been rolling out to Nokia handsets for a couple of weeks now, though the update has yet to see expanded availability.

“The Lumia Cyan software update has started rolling out and will be available for all Windows Phone 8 Lumia devices in the coming weeks,” said blog post on Nokia Beta Labs reads.

Moreover, the blog post explains that the commercial version of Device Hub arrives on smartphones with a variety of new features when compared to the beta app iteration.

One of these is full Bluetooth discovery, which is accompanied by support for a variety of new device models, including Bluetooth LE heart rate monitors, along with a range of first-party Bluetooth headsets and speakers.

At the same time, Device Hub in Lumia Cyan will offer a Find My Device option to its users, so that they can easily locate missing or lost accessories.

On top of that, the stable version of this mobile application comes with a variety of performance and quality enhancements, all added to it courtesy of the feedback that the team received during the beta trial.

“So, thanks to all trialists for your active participation! At this time we will conclude the beta trial,” the Device Hub Team notes in the aforementioned blog post.

Lumia Cyan has only started to make its way to Windows Phone 8-based Nokia devices, but it should enjoy wider availability very soon.

The Device Hub app is only one of the enhancements it arrives on devices with, as it also includes better camera capabilities for some devices, updated applications, and the entire set of new features and improvements that the Windows Phone 8.1 platform iteration was announced with.
