Nokia in partnership with VH1, the international music and lifestyle channel, are launching 'Shot by You', a service that will employ user-generated-content to create a music video.

The service involves Pentagram which is one of India's contemporary rock bands. Consumers will be able to send their video clip and the best and most relevant one will be used in the music video for the band's new single "Voice", a part of their latest album "It's OK. It's All Good".

According to Devinder Kishore, Director Marketing, Nokia India, "Nokia's association with VH1 is an extension of our 'Music Connects' theme, aimed at giving young talent an opportunity to express their creativity via the fusion of music and technology. With the power of mobility, music enthusiasts will surely have an interesting experience by capturing, sharing, and editing their interpretations, and creating a video of Pentagram's chart topping soundtrack."

Adding to it, Keertan Adyanthaya, Vice President & General Manager, VH1, said, "We at Vh1 are really excited to get this unique opportunity to partner our viewers, and invite them to create a video for Pentagram's brand new smash hit track. Our music-savvy audience, Nokia's human technology, and Pentagram's chart topping tunes make for an irresistible combination". Users will be able to find Pentagram's track, "Voice" on Nokia's website, and after listening to it, they're supposed to shoot video footage that according to them is the most appropriate for the soundtrack.

After that, the tape or CD is to be sent to the VH1 office in Mumbai, or given to the Nokia team during the upcoming multi-city ground promotion activity. The video clip of Pentagram's latest track which will include the winner's video clip is scheduled for a March premiere exclusive on VH1.
