14 DAY TRIAL // Good news for Nokia Z Launcher users, as developers have just pushed another update onto Google Play Store, which brings a major new feature and some improvements.
With the latest version of Nokia Z Launcher, users will be able to add Android widgets. Nokia has just confirmed that the application now features support for Android widgets and that the new function is very easy to use.
But here is how it works. First of all, you should know that you will have one page for your widgets, since having too many widgets for everything you need would definitely require you to browse through multiple pages, thus losing the quick convenience of widgets in the first place.
Since Nokia introduced support for Android widgets and you only get one page for that, developers wanted to maximize the space available so you won't see the bottom row of pinned apps on the widgets screen. Also, you won't be able to put anything else here other than widgets.
All widgets that you place on this page can be dragged around, resized and even removed. However, Nokia has built support for widgets a bit different from the standard Android, which might cope better with user needs.
Add Android widgets with a simple swipe and long press
In order to add a widget, simply swipe left from edge of the ranked list to access widgets page and then long press on widget page to start adding widgets.
You can use Drag and Drop gesture to reposition your widgets, as well as long press on widget and release to Resize or Remove. If you swipe right from edge of the ranked list, you will be able to A to Z apps list.
Aside from these new features, Nokia has also confirmed that the update should also contain some performance improvements and many bug fixes.
You can now download Z Launcher for Android for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.
