No 3G connectivity on board

Wireless carrier T-Mobile is reportedly getting ready to launch a new Nokia handset on its airwaves, namely the Nokia XpressMusic 5130. The mobile phone seems set to replace the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic on the operator's offering, and is expected to become available for purchase in two color versions, black / red and pearl white / aqua.

The handset has been spotted into the wild before, yet now cellphonesignal has just brought it back into the spotlight, while also unveiling detailed specifications. For starters, we should mention that the Nokia XpressMusic 5130 comes with no 3G connectivity on board, which might not sound too good for some users out there.

On the other hand, there are still a lot of features that the device is set to deliver and which can enhance the user experience, including the 2.0-inch display that boasts a 320 x 240 pixel (QVGA) resolution and support for 262k colors, the 2-megapixel photo snapper with 4x digital zoom, video recording capabilities, or the multimedia player it has been packed with.

The specifications list of the new phone shows Quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900, EDGE, GPRS connectivity, Micro-USB connector, 3.5 mm Nokia AV connector, Bluetooth 2.0, hands-free speakerphone, MP3 Music Player with support for .mp3 AAC, eAAC, eAAC+, MP3, Midi, WMA, WAMR, MXMF files, 30MB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot that supports up to 2GB of additional storage space.

The features that Nokia XpressMusic 5130 is expected to come to the market with include speed dialing, conference calling, SMS, MMS, Nokia Xpress audio messaging, and email (IMAP4, POP3, SMTP, OMA EMN) support, Opera mini browser, WAP 2.0, Java, Flash Lite 2.0, Nokia native Email, and more.

The handset measures 107.5 x 46.7 x 14.8 mm and weighs 88 g (with battery). Its BL-5C 1020 mAh Li-Ion standard battery is capable of delivering up to 6 hours of talk time or up to 288 hours of standby time.
