Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia seems set to offer as many users as possible new software solutions on their handsets. Following the release of updates for devices like the Nokia 5800 or the 5530

, the company has delivered a software update for the users of a Nokia X6 too.

The new release for the company's multimedia device does not come with great changes, but it still has some enhancements to offer, along with fixes and improvements.

Here's what Nokia notes on its website on the matter:

The following new features and updating options are available for your Nokia X6-00 [16GB and 8GB included]. Latest software release for Nokia X6-00 is 30.0.003

Here and Now New version of Ovi Maps and Ovi Store Improved Browser Improved chat in Ovi Contacts As it always happens with Nokia's devices, the software update won't be pushed to all models out there at the same time, and users in different geographies might not see the solution as available for them as well.

Before proceeding with the software update, users are advised to back up all data on their devices, so as to make sure that nothing is lost during the update process.

The update can be performed either from the device itself, over the air or via Wi-Fi, through using the handset's SW update feature, or via a desktop PC.

As soon as the handset informs on the availability of the new software update, one would have to go to Applications > SW Updates, choose the software that should be updated, and follow the instructions to perform the process.

If one would like to update the handset via a desktop PC, a specific application would be required, namely Nokia Ovi Suite or Nokia Software Updater.

Both of them work on computers running under Windows 7 or Vista or XP, and require an USB cable to connect the device to the PC.
