Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has been long rumored to plan the launch of an Android-based smartphone, supposedly called Nokia X, and the device has made yet another appearance online, this time in CamSpeed database.

The mobile phone was spotted there with model number Nokia RM-980 attached to it, said to be the aforementioned Nokia X (aka Normandy) with support for two SIM cards.

According to a recent tweet coming from Sofica Ltd, the smartphone will land on shelves with a 3.2-megapixel camera with fixed focus, while running under Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. However, previous rumors suggested that it could feature a 5MP camera.

The handset was spotted in the aforementioned database with a score of only 403, which sends it to the 214th place in the list of devices in CamSpeed.

However, Nokia X was already expected to arrive on shelves as an entry-level device, and it does not come too much as a surprise that it will deliver low performance capabilities.

According to previous reports, Nokia would plan on packing it with 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

The phone might hit shelves with a small, 4-inch screen, as well as with a 1500mAh battery packed inside. Rumor also has it that Nokia is planning on launching it in a variety of color versions.

What remains to be seen at the moment is when exactly the new Nokia X will be unveiled, provided that the Finnish handset vendor is indeed considering making it available for purchase.

Chances are that we’ll see it go official at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month, yet no official confirmation on the matter has been provided as of now. Stay tuned for more on this.
