Good news for Android fans in Jordan, as Nokia is preparing for the launch the first X series smartphone announced last month at Mobile World Congress (MWC), the Nokia X.

According to MyNokiaBlog, Nokia Store reps are now readying for the release of the budget-friendly smartphone, which should hit shelves sometime next week.

Customers will be able to pick this one up for just $140 (€100) outright. No word on special launch day offers yet, but for that price the upfront purchase of the Nokia X in itself is a great deal.

However, before making your investment you should know a few things about Nokia X. For example, the smartphone does not provide access to Google Play Store, but you will be able to download lots of applications and games via third-party stores, such as Yandex, Nokia Store, 1Mobile and Aptoide.

Nokia X will only pack 4GB of storage, but users will have less than that at their disposal. This means that a microSD memory card is mandatory for those who wish to store music or photos on their phones.

Also, it's unclear whether Nokia will launch the dual-SIM version of Nokia X in Jordan, or customers will only be offered the single SIM variant. Stay tuned for our report on launch day.
