Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system has just become tastier with the launch of Nokia's Lumia 800 and 710 smartpones.

The Finnish company has just announced the price options and the availability of its first Windows Phone 7.5 Mango devices, around the world. Unfortunately, not everyone will be able to grab one of these good looking handsets.

According to Nokia, Lumia 800 will be available in the UK, Spain, France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands beginning November for 420 EUR ($580).

Furthermore, the smartphone is also scheduled for release in Hong Kong, India, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan toward the end of the year, while China will get it in early 2012.

As many have noticed by now, there are no mentions of a release in the United States or Canada.

However, Nokia Canada told folks over at MobileSyrup that “a number of Windows Phone devices” will be available in the country from various carriers, in early 2012.

This adds up with Stephen Elop's statement during Nokia World 2011, earlier today, who confirmed that both Lumia smartphones will be available in other regions in early 2012 and with different specs.

Based on these statements, we can safely assume that Nokia is working closely with various carriers in North America to come up with different versions of Lumia 800 and 710.

LTE support is one of the features that is likely to be introduced in a carrier-branded Lumia device, but other features of the phone might be downgraded to make the phones' prices more attractive.

Speaking at the launch event, Richard White, General Manager of Nokia Canada, told to guys over at MobileSyrup that “these [Windows Phone devices] or similarly spec’d devices” will be available from various Canadian carriers in Q1 2012.

Obviously, there are no information on price options, but it 's possible that Nokia's Lumia series devices will be cheaper in North America than the European versions.
