Nokia has just added the Jaiku widget to the many others which have been available until now on WidSets. This is meant to introduce a new communication solution for mobile phone users as part of a new community.

Jaiku allows all its members to post their thoughts and personal state and share them with a large number of other users of WidSets. Moreover, people have the opportunity of better introducing themselves to others and revealing their personality and life through photos and personal blog entries.

As a result of all the possibilities that Jaiku introduces for WidSets users, the overall impression is expected to be that of live updates on the personal evolution of all members of this community. Moreover, this is meant to improve the social networking process and help information on several areas of interest to expand.

"Our Jaiku widget brings the microblogging experience straight to the mobile phone, enabling community members to stay connected 24/7", said Ulla S?rkikangas, Director, Consumer Internet Services, Nokia Emerging Business Unit. This is probably the greatest advantage that this Jaiku offers. All community members can stay in touch and constantly receive updates.

This new widget is designed especially for those who have found previous WidSets experiences enjoyable and who want to be kept in touch with a continuous stream of information on what their friends are doing. "Jaiku was made for mobile users and we're delighted that WidSets is enabling a living, growing conversation among people around the world through the use of the Jaiku widget," added Jyri Engestr?m, Jaiku co-founder.

WidSets currently has more than 1 million worldwide registered users, being an Internet service capable of providing contact with communities, news, blogs, reviews and weather reports, all through the mobile phone. It is based on the use of widgets, mini applications like Jaiku, which deliver Internet content to the mobile phone user, also allowing him/her to make certain changes.
