Nokia’s exclusive The Weather Channel application for Windows Phone has just received a consistent update that contains lots of graphical improvements and under the hood enhancements.

According to the developers, “this update is a complete re-creation of our offering to be even more accurate and relevant to your life.”

First of all, the banner ads functionality has been fixed, and Augmented Reality, My Friends Weather and iWitness photos have been removed.

In addition, the tile content and main panorama have been updated and the 10 days forecast line break has been fixed. Last but not least, several minor bug fixes and performance improvements have been included in the update as well.

You can now download The Weather Channel for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. The application is only compatible with Lumia smartphones powered by Windows Phone 7.5 and up.
