Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has made available for download a new flavor of its Nokia Video Trimmer application for Windows Phone devices, updating it to version 2.0.0.0.

According to the changelog attached to the new app iteration, Nokia has included support for more handsets, though no further details on the matter have been provided.

The application is available for download exclusively on Lumia handsets, which suggests that Nokia has enhanced it with support for the newly announced Windows Phone 8.1-based Nokia Lumia 930 and Lumia 630.

Taking into account the reviews that users have published in the Windows Phone store, we can say that support for Windows Phone 8.1 was one of the most expected features in the software.

Those who tried using Nokia Video Trimmer on a smartphone running under WP8.1 Developer Preview and experienced issues with it should update to the new version and check on compatibility issues again.

For those who did not have the chance to try out the application as of now, we should note that it has been designed to enable users to easily shorten videos on their Lumia handsets.

To do that, users will simply need to drag the slider to the start and end points of the video segment, then adjust and hit the save button.

You can download Nokia Video Trimmer for Windows Phone from Softpedia today.
