It seems that Nokia has been on a firmware and software update spree lately. The Finnish mobile phone maker has released updates for three of its handsets, namely E66, E71 Euro and 5800 XpressMusic NAM, and we also learn that the company came up with updates for Mail for Exchange, as well as for SportsTracker.

The firmware on the Nokia E66 has been brought up to v210.21.007, and has been made available via the Nokia Update Service. Those who own such a device and are willing to go for the update should make a backup of their data before proceeding with the process, so as to make sure they don't lose any personal information stored on the device.

The Nokia E71 Euro now has the firmware version v210.21.006, but the company hasn't announced what changes have been made with this update. A firmware update is available for the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic NAM as well, namely v20.2.014. It is highly possible that the firmware for the Nokia 5800 NAM fixes a lot of the issues the device has been reported to come with at launch, so those who own such a handset should consider performing the update as soon as possible.

Mail for Exchange, the email client that enables users to connect to a Microsoft Exchange server for OTA PIM updates of contacts, calendar, and other information, has been updated by the company to version v2.9. The new version is reported to come with support for access point prioritization, contact photo synchronization, and other features.

SportsTracker is another piece of software that the phone maker has updated, and now v2.05 is available for users. The new version of the app includes support for touchscreen handsets like the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, and also allows users to perform zooming on maps. Devices that feature a built-in accelerometer will also benefit from the integrated step counting.

Among the other new features of the SportsTracker we can also count support for the Polar Bluetooth heart rate monitor belt, which can be spotted with the N79 Active. The new version of SportsTracker can be obtained nice and easy; all that users have to do is to open the application on their phone and then click ‘Check for Updates.’
