An updated flavor of the App Folder application is now available for download for the owners of Nokia Lumia devices out there, namely version 1.2.2.10.

The new software release arrives soon after the launch of Windows Phone 8.1 and should provide users with a series of performance improvements, it seems.

Nokia’s application was designed to offer owners of Lumia handsets the possibility to easily manage the home screen through grouping applications together and doing more.

“Tidy up your Start screen and make things easier to find with App Folder. You can gather similar apps together or keep your most used settings in one place — it's up to you,” the software’s description reads.

Nokia’s App Folder will provide support for both Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1 devices, it seems. In fact, it has been released for the former, and might not be yet optimized for the latter.

With this app, users can easily create folders, name them, and then add the apps to them. Moreover, the application will also allow users to manage the folders’ settings, and easily pin them to the Start screen. Not to mention that they can create as many folders as they like.

Nokia's App Folder can be found in the Windows Phone Store today.
