The latest version of Nokia Transport promises to bring more features and improvements in the mix, while keeping the same level of performance and stability.

Although it’s still a work in progress, the on-the-move application for urban travels, already comprises thousands of maps, schedules and timetables for buses, trains, trams and more.

Keep in mind that this service is not yet available in all countries, but Nokia continues to add more regions on the support list, so it might take a while until all Windows Phone users have access to one of the most useful navigation application.

The new Nokia Transport 2.1 beta also promises to offer a more customized experience with enhanced discoverability and easier access to favorite destinations.

According to Nokia, version 2.1 beta makes it easier for users to find nearby transit stations and view upcoming departure times.

In addition, users will now be able to pin multiple favorite locations and/or destinations to their phone’s start screen, which will make it easier to quickly discover the perfect route.

Furthermore, the latest iteration of Nokia Transport allows users to view upcoming station names and stopping times while in transit. This feature will only be available in timetable routing cities.

The application also provides users with the option to find nearby stations, departure times and types of transit lines available around their location.

Other Nokia Transport 2.1 beta new features includes improved search (remember last search query; change search without leaving the journey view) and improved performance (faster display of upcoming journeys; faster journey request).

Last but not least, the application has been fully integrated with Bing search Local Scout, where this service is available. With the latest version, it’s now easier to launch Nokia Transport from Bing search result.

Nokia Transports 2.1 beta is now available as a free download via Nokia Beta Labs and it should be fully compatible with all Lumia devices.
