Ever since Nokia announced that it would have Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system loaded on its new smartphones, we have been asking ourselves what new devices packed with Symbian would the Finnish vendor plan on bringing to the market in the next few years.

Apparently, some of the already rumored Symbian-based devices would still be a go, and the Nokia T7-00 would be one of them.

The mobile phone was spotted at large a few times before, but many took the news only for what it was at the time, namely a big rumor.

However, it seems that there could be more truth than expected in this rumor, and that the mobile phone would indeed be set to land on shelves in the not too far future, with the Symbian Anna OS flavor on board.

Apparently, the mobile phone could arrive on shelves as a cheaper version of the high-end Nokia N8, thus packing specs a little lower than those available on the older smartphone.

For example, the Nokia T7-00, provided that this is indeed the device that we can admire in the photo attached to this article, would sport an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, lower than the one on Nokia N8, a 12MP camera.

At the same time, rumor has it that the unannounced smartphone might include only Dual LED flash, and that it would arrive with no HDMI port included into the mix. The smartphone would have about the same dimensions and weight as the Nokia N8, namely 113.5 x 59 x 12.8m, and 135g.

According to the report, the Nokia T7-00 would be set to hit the shelves in China, which support for China Mobile's 3G TD-SCDMA network.

The rest of the specifications list of this device would be the same as the one available for Nokia N8, except for the fact that it would run a newer version of Symbian.

Nothing was confirmed on the existence of this mobile phone for the time being, and we'll take it with a grain of salt, but we'll also keep an eye out for additional info on it.
